History
Since 1895, we have served our customers with quality alloys. CMP started as the Consolidated Car Heating Company when founded by George Westinghouse. He consolidated the Car Heating Company of Pittsburg with an Albany, NY business and built a new building in Albany, NY for them both. James Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt's father, was an original stockholder. Over the years, the company focused on specialty alloys and founded the first partial denture alloy: Ticonium. We later developed Cobalt-Chrome alloys. The company changed its name to Consolidated Metal Products to reflect the focus of the company and we continue the mission today.
